The Lakers won their 15th title last night and Kobe played his typical Kobe game. He dished out the ball and had major contributions from Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol and Trevor Ariza. Kobe also won Finals MVP and as he said in his interview after the game that this win means more to him than any other championship he has won in the past. I don't know if not having Shaq was the real reason he has more satisfaction for this championship than any other that he has won. But all the problems Kobe had off the court with the sexual assault charges he had in Colorado and the fact that he demanded a trade out of L.A. After all that he can hold his head up high and be very proud of all the hard work he has put in to become the player he is today. So now we move onto the draft and the offseason where there will be a lot shake up in the NBA. Teams are going to be looking to make deals to free up cap space for the 2010 Free Agency Palooza. Every NBA fan is going to mark their calendar to one year from now when the 2009-2010 Champions hoist up the Bill Russell Trophy, the list of players that will be available will exceed any other free agency period for mega million dollar deals. This NBA season has been one for the ages and will go down as one of the most entertaining seasons of all time.
