When its all said and done you are who you are because of your parents. For me, my dad he has helped become a better person in all aspects of my life. He was patient enough with me to teach me how to play baseball and basketball. My dad never gave up on me and was there for me whenever I needed him to be. My first baseball game I watched was with my dad and he sat there with me and explained everything I needed to know about the game. I am truly thankful for what he has done for me and I will continue to love him. So when you get a chance tomorrow, tell your dad you love them and thank them for what they have done to make you who you are today. Not a lot of sports related things today so that's about it for me today but I will be back tomorrow with a sports related topic.

J. When he hit a man who was rushing to catch a bus after finishing work at about 7:15 a.m. Stallworth told police he flashed his lights in an attempt to warn the pedestrian, who was not in a crosswalk. Stallworth will probably be cut by the Browns and will have to look for a new team. He will be doing 30 days in jail and then after he is released, Goodell and Stallworth will meet to discuss how many games he will be suspended for. This story is both tragic and almost hard to believe. The NFL once again has been hit with another embarrassing situation and now the players have to become even more aware of their surroundings. Its time for the NFL to wake up and start being accountable for the actions of the players.

J. On two bad knees he was able to gut out a performance for the ages. This years field has some incredible stories to follow if you have the time to check it out. Phil Mickelson is coming back on to tour for the first time since his wife, Amy, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Rocco Mediate was the other guy who lost last year to Tiger Woods and it may be interesting to see how he pans out in this tournament. Angel Cabrera won the Open two years ago and he is very animated player who plays with a lot of passion. Of course Tiger is still the clear favorite but its going to be interesting to see how he will do against a group of golfers that continue to get better. I am really pumped for this open because I live right around the area of where this will be taken place and the fact that I truly respect what these golfers do on the course.

J. Slammin' Sammy Sosa (try saying that 5 times fast) reportedly tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug in 2003. Although they don't know what it was exactly he took, the reporters who saw the list can claim he is on it. Its no surprise over the years that Sammy took some form of substances just because of his body mass and the implosion of his numbers. Today is another sad day in baseball where another sure hall of famer by his stats has been caught cheating the game and now the discussion will be which athletes in the steroid era will be voted in the hall of fame. There are still 104 players on this list and there is no indication of anyone elses name to be released anytime soon. In my opinion if names continue to be released then there is no way for baseball to ever truly get back to its glory days.

J. He dished out the ball and had major contributions from Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol and Trevor Ariza. Kobe also won Finals MVP and as he said in his interview after the game that this win means more to him than any other championship he has won in the past. I don't know if not having Shaq was the real reason he has more satisfaction for this championship than any other that he has won. But all the problems Kobe had off the court with the sexual assault charges he had in Colorado and the fact that he demanded a trade out of L.A. After all that he can hold his head up high and be very proud of all the hard work he has put in to become the player he is today. So now we move onto the draft and the offseason where there will be a lot shake up in the NBA. Teams are going to be looking to make deals to free up cap space for the 2010 Free Agency Palooza. Every NBA fan is going to mark their calendar to one year from now when the 2009-2010 Champions hoist up the Bill Russell Trophy, the list of players that will be available will exceed any other free agency period for mega million dollar deals. This NBA season has been one for the ages and will go down as one of the most entertaining seasons of all time.

J. During Game 4 Kobe was just nasty sick and all the role players got the job done. I think that the Magic will win this game just because if they win they get another chance but if they loose, they loose. I know thats obvious so, I believe the Magic are going to use their emotions to drive them to victory tonight. Dwight has to continue to be a presence under the hoop and continue to grab rebounds. The Lakers have to continue to make big time shots and put pressure on the big 3 of the Magic to make shots. They have been plagued with a lot of key injuries that have almost made this team better. Right now the Mets are 2 GB of the division leading Philadelphia Phillies. David Wright and Carlos Beltran have been hitting the lace of the ball all season and have kept this team in contention. There have been a lot of role players and pitchers who have really stepped up and went beyond their own expectations. Such players as Luis Castillo, Alex Cora, Fernando Tatis, Gary Sheffield, Daniel Murphy and Omir Santos have really stepped up their games and provided clutch hits, great defense and leadership. The last two seasons the Mets bullpen has been absolutley awful and Omar Minaya bolstered the bullpen this year and acquired Francisco Rodriguez and J.J. Putz. Although Putz is injured right now this bullpen has been absolutely stellar all year and the bullpen is ranked 2nd in total ERA. The most important reason that the Mets are still in contention has been the starting pitching. Johan Santana has proven this year that all the money that the Mets gave he has earned. He has been nothing but incredible for this team. Johan is 3rd in ERA with a 2.39, 4th in SO with 91 and tied for 1st in Wins with 8. If he continues this pace he should win the Cy Young Award this year. Livan Hernandez, Mike Pelfrey and John Maine have stable but not great. They all have had some pretty good starts but they haven't been very affective but as they say, the season is long and the pitching will come around by the end of the year.

J. The Magic also won their first finals game in their history which ended a streak of 6 consecutive losses in the NBA Finals. If the Magic expect to win anymore games this series they have to continue to pressure Kobe. But they cannot expect to shoot at those impossible percentages. Next game is tomorrow and its important for Orlando to start off strong to win game 4. If the Lakers want to get a commanding lead in the series Kobe needs to get Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom more involved with the offense. So prediction time for Game 4: I'm gonna give the slight edge to L.A., I think Kobe will have a stellar performance and Orlando will put up a good fight in this game. Kobe is the best finisher in the game and he will take control of this game.

J. So Brett had surgery in May and he said he doesn't feel ready to start participating in everyday football activity. So Brad Childress has just given Brett Favre a week to decide on if he will play or not. I'm so glad that someone finally is putting the pressure on Favre to make a decision. Its awesome to see the tables turn on Favre because during every off season when he gets the itch to come back he always extends the decision on whether or not he wants to play and it last all the way into the summer. So Brad has given him 1 week to decide, this is perfect, so if Favre doesn't decide within a week then he will probably not come back.

J. Today he finally won the French Open against Robin Soderling. Soderling made a great run beating Rafael Nadal who is the number 1 ranked player in the world. Anyway, Federer has tied legend Pete Sampras with 14 Grand Slam Titles. The reason this win was so significant because he never won the French Open. He made the final of the French Open the last 4 years and lost to Nadal every time. So congrats Federer you are ridiculous.

Tonight is Game 2 of the NBA Finals and so far Kobe appears to be on a mission of some sort that seems almost impossible to stop. So tonight in L.A. I am gonna give the edge to the Lakers again. If you can't stop Kobe then you are pretty much screwed. If Orlando doesn't figure out how to control the Triangle Offense then this series will be quicker then Usain Bolt beating the record in the 100m dash without even trying. What I am trying to say is Kobe is making this look too easy right now.

Check out The Bizness tonight, its gonna be a hell of a show. One of the horses was Mine that Bird and the other was Rachel Alexandra. Calvin Borel won the Kentucky Derby and The Preakness and was attempting to win the Belmont Stakes today. He came just short placing 3rd and the winner of the Belmont was Summer Bird. It would have been a historical event but it seems like every year we get fooled to think that someone will eventually have a real chance at winning the Triple Crown.

Tomorrow night I will be on The Bizness with Big B and Young Wowdy and we will be talking about all the latest sports news. The rankings will be based on wins, the scoring difference, team injuries, and coaching. OK so since this is my first go at this I will give you guys a Top 5 pre-season ranks.
5) Colts- Peyton Manning is still there, but Tony Dungy isn't there so it will be interesting to see how this team performs under new leadership in long time assistant Donald Brown.

4)Eagles- With a resurgent Donovan McNabb and having one of the best drafts in recent history getting Jeremy Maclin, Jason Peters and LeSean McCoy, this should be one of the top offenses.

3)Patriots- The return of Tom Brady is a big boost and any team that still has an elite defense has potential to be Super Bowl champs.

2)Giants- Not a lot of holes in this team from top to bottom but its important to ask, who will replace Plaxico.

1)Steelers- If your questioning this choice than your either a Cardinals fan or you just envy the fact that this team is in a position to become the next true dynasty.

J. Each team in this final has something to prove to the world. On one side Kobe has been trying to prove that he can win a championship in L.A. without Shaq. While on the other side Dwight 'Superman' Howard is trying to do something the original Superman, Shaq, could not accomplish in Orlando. Even though Shaq isn't in the finals its funny to see that he is still very closely involved with this series. My prediction for tonight is that the Lakers will be coming out fired up and take Game 1 very easily against Orlando. Even though LeBron vs. Kobe is dead, I believe that Dwight vs. Kobe will be just as good. These two are very close friends and its gonna be fun to see which player will have a better defensive presence. We all know that they will get their points, but their abilities to change the game with their defense will decide which team will be victorious.

J. This is going to be one of the most celebrated accomplishments in baseball because only 23 other people have reached that many wins. If Randy wins tonight he will be only the 5th lefty to be on the list and is arguably one of the most dominant lefties in baseball. I wish him the best of luck and it may be possible he will be last to win 300.

J. Its funny for the last couple of weeks I have stated a case for the Cavs to win this series. Its not a big deal to me now to see them loose because to be honest they really didn't show up for this game. Orlando outplayed them and showed no signs of slowing down throughout this game. If anyone has any comments about the series, leave comments at the bottom about the series.

Also a very annoying situation occurred last night. LeBron James after the loss walked off the court quickly changed in the locker room and then didn't even talk to reporters. Now I understand his frustration, but as the leader and face of the franchise, you need to face the reporters that want to hear what you have to say about the game and the series and your performance. LeBron cant just ignore the reporters just because your frustrated with the way he played. He needs to man up and represent this team off the court as he does on the court. He will eventually have to talk about walking out of the arena without even talking to reporters. This is a sign for me that he still has a lot of growing up to do. Kobe would never ignore reporters after a loss. So hopefully LeBron will mature and be even better next season. Knicks 2010 is looking pretty realistic unless Cleveland can get King James some support. The bench looked tired and the rest of the starting lineup was a no show the whole series.

J. Today I finally got my chance to go onto my brothers podcast http://www.blogtalkradio.com/crap/2009/05/29/Miscellaneous-CRAP. Check it out, during the episode we talk about the two series in the NBA, the firing of Clint Hurdle and METS baby. I was a little nervous but after a couple of minutes I relaxed and just went with the flow.

Tomorrow I am going to my buddies house for a beach volleyball tourney that he hosts every year for the last 4 years. It is for a good cause all the money that is donated goes to The Jeff Spiegel Foundation. He was a good friend of mine who will definitely be missed. Anyway I'll be back soon to recap tomorrows event.

J. Anyway in the world of sports we have two unbelievable series going on in the NBA. LeBron James and the Cavaliers are going toe to toe with Dwight Howard and the Magic. On the west side, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers are all tied up with Carmelo Anthony and the Nuggets. These Conference Championship series have allowed the NBA fans to get a glimpse at the future of these unbelievable atheltes and how far they have come to be here and shine on a national stage. I wanna just let everyone know that I will be voicing my opinions on The Bizness. The show is consisted of myself, Big B and Young Woowdy. Both of them are from the Los Angeles area and it is by far one of the most entertaining show. Here is the link to their shows on airing every Sunday and Monday from 12am-2am EST. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/The-Bizness.

J. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! I am so happy that the Mets did not pursue this guy. He will still be considered the greatest right handed hitter of our time. I am not surprised at this point that he was using. Of course its a little disappointing but, I kinda just was not really overwhelmingly shocked about it. I hope his career isn't tainted after this.

I want to give a quick shoutout to my brother Corey who is already launched a very successful podcast. You can check them out at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/crap.
